Coffeenerdness in Downtown Appleton

Downtown Appleton has our share of coffee houses and when Peter King was in town for the Packer game last week here is what he though of our Downtown Appleton coffee experience.

From Peter King’s Monday Morning Quarterback 9/12/11

j. Coffeenerdness II: What a good coffee town Appleton, Wisc., is. In a two-block stretch of downtown on College Avenue (I once had night-before-the-game dinner with Bears linebacker Ron Rivera in an Italian place on this street), there are local espresso places — the trendy and modern Copper Rock, the homey and filled-with-locals Brewed Awakenings — and if those aren’t good enough for you, there’s a Starbucks on the corner. I can’t imagine there’s a better downtown coffee experience in a medium-sized, middle America city.

  1. Mr. King,
Next time you’re in Appleton, please travel 2 more blocks west from the Radisson Hotel to
ACOCA Coffee, next to the Performing Arts Center. It’s our 14 year old roastery and coffee house, where coffee is brewed by the cup. We carry 18 different kinds, including Fair Trade Organic. We’re the original coffeehouse on College Ave., and the shop that’s been roasting beans fresh every day.

Hope you’ll check us out at ACOCA Coffee, 500 W. College Ave., Appleton, WI
    Go PACK!
