Friends of Appleton Public Library is hosting its seventh annual I Love My Library event February 12 starting at 5 p.m. The event is being held at North Shore Golf Club in Menasha, and includes a social reception, silent auction and dinner. Individual seats may be purchased for $100, while a table of eight may be purchased for $720. I Love My Library is one of the major fundraising efforts for the library by the Friends organization.
Proceeds from the night will enhance the Library’s future by providing technologies, programs and materials beyond those supported by public funds.
This year, I Love My Library will highlight the 60+ community partnerships formed by APL and local businesses and non-profits. Out of the countless community partnership programs, two have been selected to receive the honor of Story of the Year. Community members and APL staff who have been an integral part of each of these programs will be the guest speakers.
