The folks down at McGuinness Irish Pub are busy planning our 4th annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration!
The doors will open at 8 a.m. with the members of the Fox River Hurling Club will be out back demonstrating some of the “Fastest Game on Grass”. Come out to learn about this fast paced sport and even try your hand with a hurl!
Activities and contests to be held throughout the day include
- Best legs in a kilt contest
- Irish trivia
- Irish dance competitions
Fun Irish prizes to all the winners.
A special holiday menu will be served from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
We will have two bars open to serve you better! The back bar will be open at 2 p.m. with a limited selection of Guinness, bottled beer & whiskey shots.
LIVE MUSIC!
Taking the stage at 5 p.m. will be house favorite Folk-n-Irish!
A must see act if you have not been to a show yet. As the band modestly describe themselves:
“Folk-n-Irish were created in a laboratory using DNA from the greatest musicians of our time, mixed with whiskey and born in the egg that carried Lady Gaga to the VMA’s. An acoustic duo featuring random additional instruments and guest performers, FNI plays your favorite Irish songs, hits from the 70’s to now, and specially selected pop and rock songs sung with the Irish lyrics they should have been written with in the first place.”
