The Walter Kalata Landmark Award is presented to a business that has become a landmark in our downtown. A business that has withstood the test of time and operates their business with passion and with a strong commitment to downtown. A place where people can remember the past and converse about the future.
The ADI Board of Directors would like to honor the memory of long time alderperson Walter Kalata for the passion and commitment in which he served the 1st District for over 40 years.
The winning nominee truly captures the iconic character of a landmark.
