Pop-rock band Eric Lives Here is proud of downtown Appleton.
So much so that the band recently recorded their debut music video for “Night is Young” in two downtown Appleton locations: Mill Creek and Luna Lounge.
“When it came to filming the music video for “Night is Young,” we wanted to keep it local,” said Eric Lives Here lead singer Mike Thiel. “Appleton has plenty of great venues to record something like this, but we wanted to bring it downtown because it just fit the vibe of the song.”
“Night is Young,” which is an upbeat, party-esque rock song, also debuted on 95.9 KISS FM on July 13, the same day the video was officially released. It is the second single Eric Lives Here has landed on local mainstream radio since June.
The “Night is Young” also received a boost from comedian/actor T.J. Miller (“She’s Out of My League,” “Our Idiot Brother,” “Get Him to the Greek”), who made numerous appearances in the music video. Miller’s portion was filmed at Mill Creek.
“We had a lot of help from friends and fans in filming this video,” said Thiel. “We had to do several different shoots and pack a club full of people (Luna Lounge) to make this thing work and we did it, so kudos to everybody who helped. This is your video, too.”
Eric Lives Here is a five-piece pop-rock band based out of Appleton, Wisconsin.
