Can-struction Collects Over 600 Lbs of Goods In Downtown Appleton Office

By ppirman

Last week’s can-struction competition in SEH’s Appleton office resulted in 619 pounds of food and personal care products collected for donation to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. Three teams competed in the can-struction effort which required each team to use donated products to create a structure, display or other design.

Team B, the Pretty Potty Producers, were named competition winners for their design “A Scenic Walk to A Well-Stocked Outhouse.”

Team A: the Packer Stackers, garnered second place recognition for their entry which featured the storied Green Bay Packer “G” logo, an almost-life sized goal post and assorted Packer fan decor.

Team C: Stephan’s SEH Sculpture, took third place overall but was cited for the personal commitment demonstrated by the team (Matt Stephan) in completing the entry before leaving for deer hunting.

Office Manager Trevor Frank, who organized the food drive, competition and independent judging gave kudos to the Appleton staff for their generosity.

“It was a fun twist on the traditional food drive, and our goal of gettting more food and product donations exceeded my wildest expectations, with over 600 pounds collected. I hope it’s something others will consider in future years.”
