Around 100 Fox Cities residents will come together at Globally Sound Fair Trade to promote social, economic and environmental justice.
On Saturday, May 3, 2014 Globally Sound, located at 604 W College Avenue, hosts their 7th Annual World Fair Trade Day Celebration from 10 am — 4 pm. Visitors can enjoy free fair trade, organic coffee and tea all day and live music from Babes in the Wood at 1 pm.
Another feature of Globally Sound’s event is their very popular drawing for a YEAR SUPPLY OF FAIR TRADE ORGANIC COFFEE OR TEA! Two winners will be drawn — one for the coffee and one for the tea.
Attendants’ names go in the drawing just for going to the World Fair Trade Day Celebration but they can also get their name in more times by helping sustain the environment by bringing a mug, riding a bike or walking. They can also increase their chances of winning by checking into the event and doing some fair trade shopping.
World Fair Trade Day is a global celebration bringing together thousands of people across the world and in many countries to promote fair trade awareness and commit to building healthy and sustainable communities world-wide. By choosing fair trade products and ingredients, people help improve the lives of farmers, farm-workers, producers, artisans and their families.
