Trunk Show with Social Entrepreneur with Traditional Arts from India

 

Community Foundation for the Fox Valley invites you to visit a Trunk Show by Judy Frater, a social entrepreneur, who has worked most of her life in Kutch, India. She started a women’s cooperative for traditional arts that eventually provided educational opportunities for weavers and other traditional artisans.

She will be in Appleton in June to receive an alumni award from Lawrence University. Accompanying her will be one the traditional weavers with whom she works.

She has offered to do a Trunk Show – and proceeds will supports the artisans in Kutch, India. She will give a 5-10 minute talk each hour. You may consider contributing to the cause through a purchase (not required but welcome).
