Authentic Mexican Food at Antojitos Mexicanos

IMG_3478.JPGHave you experienced the authentic Mexican food at Antojitos Mexicanos yet?  They have been in business for 8 ½ years and have recently relocated to Downtown Appleton.  They love the atmosphere of their new location and are really building their customer base.  Antojitos chose their new location, because of all the events downtown.  The interior of the restaurant is also very unique and brings in lots of new customers.  They decided to change the vibe of their restaurant by straying away from the typical colorful walls in favor of a more urban look.  Outside the door, are two eye catching, statues of mariachi band players.  They are very original and make great photo props!

IMG_3479.JPG

Antojitos Mexianos’ most popular dishes are chimichangas and burritos.  They also have several signature margaritas including cucumber mint, anchorite, and BMW.  The newest edition to the cocktail list is a “margarita flight”.  This is for those who can’t decide on just one flavor, allowing you to try several at once.

Gift Certificates are available for purchase.  This is a great gift with the holidays just around the corner.  Walk-ins are also welcomed.  The staff is very friendly and ready to assist you during your experience.  Antojitos Mexicanos would also love to help you and your coworkers celebrate your annual holiday party.  They have plenty of space to accommodate you.  Call or stop in today to inquire.  While you’re there, try one of the menu’s dishes and wash it down with a cold margarita!

Get in the Holiday Spirit at Cleo’s Tavern

IMG_3513.JPGGet in the holiday spirit by making a trip to Cleo’s Brown Beam Tavern.  There is no place that makes it feel more like Christmas.  Cleo’s has been established for 45 years.  It has been at its current location since 1997.  Decorated in holiday décor 365 days a year, its primary holiday is Christmas.  The original owner, Cleo, loved Christmas.  Even her house was decorated in all Christmas décor year round.

IMG_3516.JPG

It is a tavern known around the globe, and people travel from all over to experience the ambiance in Cleo’s.  Their motto is “Where it’s always a holiday”.  At any given day this is the vibe you will get as soon as you enter.  They want to keep the traditional cocktail lounge feel.  You will not find any games or loud music here.  You will find a great crowd of people, ranging in age, having great camaraderie.

The staff is trained in making specialty cocktails, and they carry a winter and summer cocktail special menu.  Cleo’s is also rotating their drink specials daily.  The drink they are most known for is their Dirty Snowball.  If you have not tried this icy drink, it is a must.  They also take pride in their old fashioneds and have them on special during happy hour Monday-Saturday.

IMG_3529.JPG

The staff at Cleo’s loves Downtown Appleton, because it is so vibrant.  There is always a constant flow of people and traffic.  They love how all the businesses work together to make it “One Great Place”.  The Mile of Music Festival and the Christmas Parade are their favorite events.

December is the busiest month of the year at Cleo’s with sales more than double any other month.  This is why they started an event of their own.  They are getting into the spirit with an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest.  This will be held this Thursday, December 10th, with sign-up at 8PM.  Judging will be at 10 PM.  There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and drink specials all night.  So throw on your ugliest sweater and come join the fun!
