The Art of Shiny Glass featured at Studio 213 for Art on the Town

Studio 213 is featuring the art of shiny glass from Emilie Steinmann for this month’s Art on the Town this Friday.

Emilie Steinmann (Ooh, Shiny! Art Glass) is a Fox Valley native, married and has a daughter.  Emilie does fused glass art, she has been learning glass working techniques since  her teens. She pulls her inspiration from her late mother who got her started, this keeps her memory alive and “shiny!”

Local made Mug and Cider Recipe – Studio 213

There is nothing like a mug of hot cider to get you through these cold days, especially when its in a locally made mug. Here is the recipe for one of the favorites served at Studio 213.

Cranberry-Apple Cider

  • 2 quarts cranberry juice
  • 1 1/2 quarts apple cider
  • 2 tsp. whole cloves
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp. whole allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
Combine all ingredients in a large pot and simmer for 1 hour. Remove whole spices before serving. Enjoy
